This January 28, 1842 Commercial Letter And Invoice Documents A Transaction Between Mobile, Alabama Merchant Alexander Pratt And R. B. Waller Of Greensboro, Alabama. Pratt Charged Waller $42.81 For Five Gallons Of Madeira Wine, Three Gallons Of Old Otard Brandy, Three Gallons Of Tenerife Wine, And Related Drayage And Wharfage Costs. The Letter Refers To An Invoice And Bill Of Lading, Showing The Business Practices Used To Ship Imported Wines And Spirits From Mobile’s Port To An Inland Alabama Customer. Greensboro Was Located In Greene County In 1842, Before The Creation Of Hale County In 1867. The Address Panel Identifies R. B. Waller, Esq., At Greensboro, Alabama, While The Sender’s Name, Alexander Pratt, Appears On The Folded Letter Sheet.

In Very Good Antique Condition - Folds, Staining, Paper Section Missing, Paper Toning Due To Age And History-Collectors Watermarked That Is Not On Invoice. Closed Measures Approx. 8" Wide By 10" Tall.
