This German Postcard Depicts The Lutherhaus In Eisenach During The German Empire Period. The Image Shows The Historic Building Known As The Former Residence Of Martin Luther During His School Years From 1498 To 1501. By The Early Twentieth Century The Site Had Become A Recognized Landmark And Tourist Destination. The Postcard Was Published By Verlaganstalt C. Jagemann Of Eisenach And Features A Hand Colored View Typical Of Pre Photographic Color Printing. The Card Was Mailed On 26 September 1904 And Bears A 5 Pfennig Deutsches Reich Stamp With A Wartburg Postmark.
