This Poster Stamp From 1905 Commemorates The 400th Anniversary Of The Invention Of The Pocket Watch, Celebrated At The Historical Clock Exhibition In Nuremberg, Germany. It Features A Statue Of Peter Henlein, A Nuremberg Locksmith And Watchmaker Often Credited With Developing The First Portable, Spring-Driven Timepiece Around 1505. The Exhibition Took Place From July 1 To September 30, 1905, Honoring Henlein’s Contribution To Horology.
