Real Photo Postcard Depicting The Aftermath Of The Rock Island Railroad Wreck Near Gladbrook, Iowa, On March 21, 1910. The Image Shows A Telescoped Pullman Day Coach In The Most Fatal Train Accident In Iowa History. The Collision Occurred When A Combined Passenger Train Derailed, Causing Steel Cars To Crush Wooden Coaches. Over 50 People Died, With Dozens Injured. Captioned In Negative And Credited To Photographer F. W. Norton Of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, This Postcard Documents A Significant Early 20th Century Rail Disaster.
