This 1913 Print Advertisement Promotes The Thomas School, An Early Aviation Training Program Operated By The Thomas Bros. Aeroplane Co. In Bath, New York. Chartered By The Board Of Regents Of The University Of New York State, The School Offered Flight Training Over Land And Water For A Tuition Fee Of $250. Students Could Complete Their Course On The Thomas Flying Motor Boat, Indicating Training In Seaplane Operation. Instructor Walter E. Johnson Led The Program During A Time When Aviation Was Still In Its Infancy. The Thomas Bros. Aeroplane Co. Was A Key Player In Early American Aviation, Later Merging Into Thomas-Morse Aircraft.
