This 1928 Clipping Documents Two Historical Events. First, John F. Collins Was Appointed Receiver Of The Detroit, Jackson & Chicago Railway, A Line Operating Between Detroit And Kalamazoo Through Ypsilanti And Ann Arbor, Formerly Managed By The Detroit United Railway Company. Second, Mary Anderson, Director Of The Women’s Bureau At The U.S. Department Of Labor, Reported That Two Million Girls Under Age Twenty Were Wage Workers In The United States. She Promoted A Government Poster Titled “Daughters Of America” Highlighting Young Factory Workers And Questioning Their Future Opportunities.
