The Union Was Founded In 1892 In Indianapolis And Expanded Into Canada By 1899 With Division 113. It Represented Workers In The Streetcar And Electric Railway Industry, Advocating For Better Wages And Working Conditions. Division 113 Was One Of The Earliest Canadian Locals And Played A Key Role In Organizing Transit Labor In Toronto.
