This 1928 Clipping Documents The Union Labor Life Insurance Company Which Was Established By Organized Labor Following A Resolution At The 1923 American Federation Of Labor Convention In Portland, Oregon. It Was Incorporated In Maryland On October 26, 1927, And Began Operations On June 15, 1927. The Company Was Created To Provide Insurance Exclusively For Union Wage Workers. Stock Ownership Was Limited To Unions And Individuals Within The Labor Movement. Within Seven Months, It Issued Policies Totaling $34,817,000 To 50,020 Individuals. This 1928 Document Highlights Its Early Success And Union-Based Ownership Structure.
