In Good Vintage Condition - Curling, Creases, Staining, Paper Toning Due To Age And History-Collectors Watermarked That Is Not On Photograph.

Photographic Memento Documenting The U.S.S. Vermilion (AKA-107) During Its 1948 Mediterranean Deployment From March 1 To June 5. The Image Features A Sepia-Toned View Of The Ship With A Map Overlay Listing Ports Of Call Including Gibraltar, Sfax, Argostoli, Athens, Tunis, Algiers, Suda Bay, Rhodes, Malta, And Iraklion. The U.S.S. Vermilion Was A Tolland-Class Attack Cargo Ship Commissioned In 1945 And Assigned To The Atlantic Fleet. During This Cruise, The Vessel Provided Logistical Support And Participated In Amphibious Training Operations As Part Of The U.S. Navy’s Post-World War II Presence In The Region.
