Scottish Aviation Restored The Aircraft To Their Original Military Configuration, Removing Civilian Fittings. These Planes Were Assigned To A C-47 Flight Commanded By Squadron Leader J. Bennett Of The Royal Air Force. This Event Occurred During A Period Of Post-Colonial Transition, With Sudan Having Gained Independence In 1956. The C-47, A Military Variant Of The Douglas DC-3, Was Widely Used Globally For Troop And Cargo Transport. The Clipping Reflects Military Cooperation Between Britain And Emerging Nations Amidst Cold War Geopolitical Dynamics.
