This Tobacco Silk Represents The Order Of The Star Of India, An Order Of Chivalry Established By Queen Victoria On February 25, 1861, To Honor British And Indian Individuals Who Served The British Empire In India. 

The Order Was Headquartered In Calcutta (Now Kolkata) During The British Raj And Featured Three Classes: Knight Grand Commander (GCSI), Knight Commander (KCSI), And Companion (CSI). 

The Motto "Heaven's Light Our Guide" Reflects The British Imperial Ideology Of The Time. 

Produced By The American Tobacco Company In The Early 20th Century, This Silk Is A Testament To The Cultural Fascination With British Imperial Symbols And The Intersection Of Commerce And Colonialism.
