In Very Good Vintage Condition - Unused, Unposted, Paper Toning Due To Age And History-Collectors Watermarked That Is Not On Postcard.
This Postcard Shows An Aerial View Of The Flooded Area Surrounding Chestnut, Madison, And Walnut Streets In Louisville, Kentucky, Looking East From 30th Street. The Adler Manufacturing Plant Is Visible In The Center Of The Image, Surrounded By Flooded Streets, Industrial Buildings, And Residential Structures. The Photo Was Taken During The 1937 Ohio River Flood. The Image Documents The Impact Of Flooding On Louisville’s West End Industrial Zone. It Was Taken By Caulfield & Shook And Published By Julian R.
