This Postcard Shows Widespread Flooding On Central Avenue In Louisville, Kentucky, With The Offices And Track Of Churchill Downs Submerged. The Image Is Unattributed And Published By Julian R. Fisher Of 219 West Main Street, Louisville. Churchill Downs, Known For Hosting The Kentucky Derby, Is Clearly Visible In The Background. This Photograph Documents A Significant Urban Flood Event When The Area Experienced Severe Flooding From The Ohio River In 1937.
