This Postcard Shows A Damaged Hay Storage Barn At 4th And Main Streets In Louisville, Kentucky, With The Columbia Building Visible In The Background Including The Gateway To The South Signage. The Scene Dates To The Aftermath Of The 1937 Ohio River Flood, One Of The Most Devastating Natural Disasters In Louisville's History. The Flood Submerged Much Of Downtown, Causing Widespread Damage To Infrastructure And Buildings. The Caption, "The Barn Was Still Full Of Hay When It Landed In Louisville At 4th And Main," Reflects The Absurdist Humor Common In Postcards Of The Era. Published By Julian R.
