In Very Good Vintage Condition - Unused, Unposted, Paper Toning Due To Age And History-Collectors Watermarked That Is Not On Postcard.
This Postcard Shows A View Of Broadway In Louisville, Kentucky, Looking East From Fourth Avenue With The Heyburn Building Prominently In The Foreground. The Street And Sidewalks Are Covered In Floodwater During The 1937 Ohio River Urban Flood Event. The Heyburn Building, Completed In 1928, Served As A Central Office Tower In The Downtown Business District. The Photo Was Captured By Caulfield & Shook And Published By Julian R. Fisher Of 219 West Main Street, Louisville. The Postcard Is Numbered 149512 And Was Printed In The United States As Part Of A Regional Flood Documentation Series.
