This c1941 Lithograph Postcard Labeled F-132 In The Series Features A 240 MM Howitzer In Action, Captured From A Photograph By Turlington's Photo Shop And Printed By Greycraft Card Co. Of Danville, Virginia. The 240 MM Howitzer M1 Was The Largest Field Artillery Piece Used By The United States Army During World War II. It Was Designed For Heavy Bombardment And Was Employed In European And Pacific Theaters Against Fortified Positions.
