This Vintage Airmail Label From North Central Airlines Reflects The Mid-20th Century Era Of Regional Air Travel In The United States. Established In 1944 As Wisconsin Central Airlines And Renamed In 1952, North Central Airlines Played A Key Role In Connecting Smaller Midwest Cities. The Label Features The Slogan "Route Of The Northliners," Referring To The Airline’s Fleet, And Promotes Air Mail Service, A Vital Component Of Airline Operations Before Digital Communication. The Red, White, And Blue Design Symbolizes The Airline’s National Presence. North Central Merged Into Republic Airlines In 1979, Eventually Becoming Part Of Northwest Airlines And Later Delta Air Lines.
