c1945 Real Photo Postcard Featuring A Night Image Of The Main Entrance Of Boone Tavern Hotel. Built In 1909 By Berea College In Berea, Kentucky. Named After Frontiersman Daniel Boone, The Hotel Was Established To Accommodate Visitors To The College And Promote Southern Hospitality. Constructed Using Student Labor And Designed In The Colonial Revival Style, It Quickly Became A Regional Landmark. Operated As An Educational Enterprise, The Hotel Has Served Guests For Over A Century While Providing Training Opportunities For Students. It Is Listed On The National Register Of Historic Places And Remains An Important Part Of Berea’s Cultural And Educational Heritage.
