In Good Vintage Condition - Unused, Unposted, Curling, Staining, Paper Toning Due To Age And History-Collectors Watermarked That Is Not On Postcard.
Real Photo Postcard Depicting Aftermath Of The April 3, 1947, Downers Grove Train Wreck Involving The Twin Cities Zephyr Operated By The Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad. The Image Shows Railroad Workers Engaged In Recovery Efforts Around The Crumpled Nose Of An EMC E-Unit Locomotive Bearing The Burlington Route Emblem. The Zephyr Struck A Tractor At A Crossing Before Derailing And Colliding With The Station, Resulting In Three Fatalities And Dozens Injured. The Postcard Was Printed On Kodak Paper And Reflects Mid-20th Century Railroad Accident Documentation.
