This Real Photo Postcard Features Missouri & Arkansas Railway Locomotive #40, A 2-8-0 Steam Engine Used In Freight Service. The M&A Operated From 1935 Until Its Closure In 1946, Serving Routes Between Harrison, Arkansas, And Seligman, Missouri. The Locomotive Was Photographed In Service And The Image Was Later Printed As A Postcard On Kodak Paper Circa 1955, As Indicated By The Stamp Box. This Postcard Captures A Rare Visual Record Of A Defunct Short Line And Its Steam Equipment In The Postwar Period.
