Real Photo Postcard Featuring New York Central Locomotive No. 8212 - A Class J-1c 4-6-4 Hudson-Type Steam Engine Built By The American Locomotive Company At Its Schenectady Plant For The Michigan Central Railroad, A Subsidiary Of The New York Central System. It Operated During The 1940s And Early 1950s, Primarily In Passenger Service. The Locomotive Was Photographed In Chicago, A Key Hub For The Michigan Central. This Engine Was Part Of A Series Designed For High-Speed Passenger Trains And Represented The Advanced Steam Technology Of Its Time. No. 8212 Was Retired As Dieselization Progressed And Was Eventually Scrapped Like Most Of Its Class.

In Good Vintage Condition - Unused, Unposted, Collector Identified Writing On Reverse, Curling, Staining, Paper Toning Due To Age And History-Collectors Watermarked That Is Not On Postcard. Measures Approx. 5-3/8" Wide by 3-1/2" Tall.
